A recent shopping trip: epic fail
In my search for a new pair of jeans, I came across these smoking haute Lace Up Flare Jeans from Arden B, one my favorite stores. I love the boho, wide flare leg jeans. I love the lace up ties on both sides of the waist. I was beyond excited when the sales associate brought the jeans to me in the dressing room to try on.
I slid the jeans up, and they slid easily over my thighs. Check. As I settled them around my hips and waist, I looked down and noticed that they were a nice length. Check. And although it looked like I would have to tie the jeans on, I actually had to zip them up. Zip trumps ties. Check.
To my surprise complete shock, I found that I could not zip them up. WTH. My hands could not grasp the teeny tiny zipper pull, and zip it up. So even though they fit in every possible place: waist, hips, thighs, length, color wash, length, leg opening, price, etc. If I couldn’t zip and button them up, they were a no go.
Another shopping epic fail.
So those super haute sexy jeans are an example of the fashion journey I am on now. The hunt for fashion pieces that are flattering, stylish, glamorous, haute, and that I can actually put on all by myself.
Have you had a shopping run in with a side zipper or other fastener that got the best of you?
